How Social Media Replaced The Woman’s Intuition!

Instagram Like

I know he’s cheating…I can just feel it!  This used to be how women expressed their reasoning when they thought their significant other was being unfaithful.  It was a feeling, intuition, something that could be FELT in the pit of their stomachs.  Nowadays…chile please!  Social media IS a woman’s intuition.  Continue reading

Why Does Kim Kardashian’s Vagina Bother So Many People?

I like to push the envelope on my site.  I talk about touchy topics, I post nude photos and like to cuss.  However, I also like to bring a balance to my world and highlight accomplishments and success stories featuring a variety of people.  In a nutshell, I have no boundaries.  Why can’t the world operate similarly?  Recently, you may have seen Paper Mag’s latest issue which features Kim Kardashian.  Do people really care about what the interview was about? Nope.  Do people care that she acknowledges she’s famous because of social media? Nope.  Do people even care about how she admits that she and her family couldn’t enjoy the pumpkin patch because of paparazzi?  Nope, nope and nope.

She’s not iconic because of solid accomplishments; the world has made her iconic because they care so much about this chic’s vagina!  She made it to mainstream because of her infamous sex tape with singer Ray J…something to brag about?  Not at all.  Something to be proud of? Not at all!  But, the reality is, the world has allowed her to enjoy fame and money because they watch Keeping Up With The Kardashians, they buy Kardashian Kollection clothes, they follow her on social media…they HATE TO LOVE HER!  So, in some ways, one could argue that as dumb as she appears, she’s actually genius because she’s making millions off of being recognized.

Either way you look at it, we’ve all built this monster.  We’ve fed into the trap!  Now that she gives the world what they’ve already seen, but in a “planned” format and post baby North, we care?  Big deal.  She showed her breasts and her vagina…is the world going to end because of it?  No.  Other countries sell cigarettes and drinks via nude advertisements, so this isn’t something that hasn’t already been done before.  For the parents out there, explain to your children what’s wrong with posing nude (if you see an issue with it), for conservatives, walk away or turn in the other direction.  I give a big “LOL” to this article and the photos because the magazine is getting exactly what they wanted…views, social media frenzy and recognition…once again, another monster is budding.

What’s In a Selfie?

dbinstagram

We all take “selfies” for different reasons.  Sometimes we want to show off an outfit, a piece of jewelry, our make-up or maybe we want to just update the world on what we are doing.  Whatever the reason, a picture can be worth a thousand words.  But, which words are we choosing exactly?  Are we feeling sexy?  Mad?  Tired?  More importantly, why have people latched on to the Instagram/social media craze?  I have to admit, I also love to take selfies…quite often.  I’m confident, beautiful and love to share my thoughts/expressions with all of you!

Everyday people like you and I aren’t the only ones indulging in this guilty pleasure…celebs do it too and I must admit, I love seeing them be “normal” people.

“You Don’t Embrace Your Black Side!’

I just so happened to be watching an episode of the Wendy Williams show (I’ve loved her since she was on the air in Philly) and she had Tahj Mowry (Tia and Tamera’s younger brother) as a guest.  Wendy began discussing the issue of his sister being openly ridiculed and verbally attacked for marrying and having a baby with a white man.  Tahj began sharing stories about how his followers on social media reach out to him saying things like “you don’t have any black friends” if he happens to post a photo with only white people.  They even say things like “you don’t embrace your black side” and it shocks him.  He and his sisters are bi-racial, with a black mother and white father.

I can’t express how disgusted I am that things like this still occur.  Growing up as a mixed kid, I feel his pain.  I was never black enough and I was never Puerto Rican enough…I mean, what is “being black enough”?  Are there certain stereotypical things that I should be doing or is there a certain way that I need to speak in order to be considered black?  CRAZINESS!  It’s so sad that any one person can be placed in a box or expected to “act” a certain way simply because others THINK they should (a total sign of insecurity and ignorance).  If only the world minded their business, lived their own lives and stopped caring about stupid shit, the world MIGHT be a more enjoyable place to live.

Ciara Addresses Negative Bloggers!

See, I told you that the world is full of negative/gossip bloggers in my post, “Why Don’t I Blog About Gossip More Often?”  Even celebrities are paying attention and fame does not exempt someone from getting their feelings hurt.  Recently, Ciara addressed the negativity surrounding social media, specifically bloggers who are focused on earning money for their harsh stories.  It makes my stomach turn to read some of the trash that gets published, but Ciara proves that I am not the only one who feels this way.  If you are a REAL writer, you don’t always have to rely on putting others down to be noticed!  She states:

Dear Blogger, It’s never worth it in the end when you sell your soul for a quick dollar, by creating bad stories about people. At some point, it will all reverse on you and you’ll end up regretting all the trash you wrote or said about people.

The universal friend “Karma” has demonstrated this over and over again. I strongly encourage you to project more positivity into the universe. If Social Media is a world that’s growing more massive by the day, why not use it to shed light?? Otherwise, you are merely contaminating our universe.
What about your family and kids?? Do you think about them?? You’re definitely creating a harmful and volatile environment where they must learn to live. It’s almost like you are cursing future generations with your bad energy.
Not to mention…Your “Personal Karma”??… Forget about it!
You better start doing some serious praying and rebuking, cause only The Lord knows!…:)

I sure do miss the good ol days when the focus was about the pure creativity of being an artist. Back then there was still some mystery. Social Media Is Beginning To Take Away The Specialness of What That Was, and Is.

Now, Off Blogs. Peaceful Mind. Living In My Happiness. Creativity Only.
