“Before there was RG3, the NFL had RC1…” Randall Cunningham Reflects

Back in the day, I loved me some Randall Cunningham and even got him to sign his rookie card, which I still have by the way.  The #12 was my favorite as a young Eagles fan.  Those days of watching him play are long gone now, but NFL.com got him to sit down for an interview, to reflect on his career.  He’s now a pastor of a church in Las Vegas and recently turned 50 (hello, my fellow Aries)!  Even RG3 has a connection with #12 as his dad was a huge fan!  NFL.com reports:

So take a seat, kids. Put down your phones and listen up: A few decades ago, there played a quarterback who never made it to a Super Bowl and never made it to the Hall of Fame — but whose ability as a dual-threat signal-caller foreshadowed the trends shaping today’s game. His fingerprints are everywhere.

Sure, Roger Staubach was an amazing athlete as a quarterback. Yes, Bobby Douglass set a long-standing record for a running QB, notching 968 yards on the ground in 1972. True, Steve Young had legs that merited the respect of defenders.

But Cunningham … Cunningham was different. And today’s quarterbacks know it.

“My dad loved watching Cunningham, so when I decided to play football, all we did was watch his highlights,” Robert Griffin III said Tuesday. “We’d watch how well he moved in the pocket to avoid defenders and make plays — not just with his legs, but with his arm. He was one of the first true game-changers the league saw…”

“I’m so proud to see that I went through an era when it wasn’t popular to be an African-American quarterback,” Cunningham said. “Then, to see how things have turned around. It’s not about the African-American quarterback. It’s about the quarterback who has an ability to do everything.”

DaniTheDreamGirl Does Photo Shoot for Curvy Doll!

Hello Dreamers!

I’ve been getting requests to give an update about my dreams and what I’m accomplishing and what’s going on in my world.  Well, in addition to turning 30, I’ve been making some moves!  I was asked to do a photo shoot for an awesome boutique in Baltimore, Curvy Doll.  Of course, I jumped at the opportunity.  I got glammed up with make-up, jewelry, clothes, the works!  The photos haven’t been released yet, but below is a short behind the scenes video of the photo shoot.  Enjoy!

Dirty 30 Club!

Yup, that’s right…it’s here…like totally HERE!  I’m QUEEN for a day and I must say, it feels good.  As you all know, I’ve been in panic mode and freaking out about turning 30.  However, now that my birthday is here, well…it’s not all that bad.  I spent an amazing weekend in Miami with family to celebrate…I’m fabulous, I’m driven, I’m READY! So, I’ve been asking around and some have offered insight as to what happens in the Dirty 30 Club.  I mean, do I get free drinks?  Is it free for me and all of my guests?  Do I get to pop bottles?  What happens?  Here is what I was told:

-Now that you’re 30, it’s time to say f*ck the bullsh!t

-30’s are the best time of your life!

-30 is when you really start living

-It’s when you say, “I’m comfortable with my body, I love where I’m at…”

-30’s are when your sex drive goes up (lol)

So, if this is what I’m in for…heeeey I’m gooooooood!  Happy Birthday to MEEEE!!!  It’s time to look towards my future!

I have to show love to my alma mater, George Mason, for getting invited to the College Basketball Invitational, where they will be playing the College of Charleston Cougars on Tuesday night.  Let’s wish them the best of luck and make us graduates proud!

This some amazing news!  I just love when women have the chance to carry a child and bring them into this world!  We’ve seen the struggles of Tamar getting pregnant and searching for a surrogate on the hit show, Braxton Family Values.  So, to see her glowing and carrying the baby herself, is beyond beautiful!  CONGRATS Tamar and Vince!

*Video* Love & Hip-Hop’s Tahiry Jose: “Devil” ft. Styles P and Uncle Murda! [The Reasons Why I Hate It]

I NEVER rip people on my site because this is a place to spread good news, great stories of success, interviews, music and more.  However, I think it’s a disgrace when people try and “drop” some music or a video just because they’ve reached reality television fame.  This industry has taken a turn for the worse and the artists who are TRULY talented and take their craft seriously, should be offended that videos like “Devil” even make it into production.

Tahiry is so beautiful, but let’s face it…music is not her strong point.  The video is horrible, her voice sounds bad and her body is bangin’, but the clothes were very unflattering.  Her management team SHOULD have done a better job with making sure the song was mixed better and coming up with a better video, PERIOD.  I see artists on my site, in my email, on Twitter, etc. wanting me to feature their music, wanting me to spread the word and they are SO talented, yet they never get that big shot to make it in the music world.  I feature as many up-and-coming artists as I can, without flooding my site with just music, but Tahiry may have just sparked a long stream of new/undiscovered artists on my site, just so I feel better about putting this whack video on here.

I hate to be so blunt, because I believe everyone should follow their dreams, but I will call a fraud when I see one.  I come in contact with too many gifted musicians to let this slide.  Check it out for yourself:
