If you’ve been paying attention to social media, you may have caught a snippet of rapper, Lil Wayne, expressing his views about the Black Lives Matter movement in a recent interview. ABC’s Nightline released footage in which Wayne was pretty vocal about not supporting BLM. Continue reading
The traditional regimen of getting engaged and planning a wedding one to two years later, was the total opposite of what Ludacris had in mind. He and Eudoxie Mbouguiengue, his long time girlfriend of 6 years, showed us that it can be done differently.
The rapper surprised Eudoxie with his proposal, while on a private jet and also gifted her with a white dress that would serve as her wedding gown that same day. After tying the knot, close friends and family (including singers Monica and LeToya Luckett) met them and jetted off to Cost Rica for a group honeymoon.
What a way to solidify love! Kudos to Ludacris for thinking outside of the box and showing Eudoxie that she is your queen. CONGRATS and MANY BLESSINGS!

The latest issue of Vibe magazine features YMCMB’s Rack City creator, Tyga. Since joining Wayne’s all-star team, we haven’t heard much of anything from him and now we may know the reasons why. According to Tyga himself, he doesn’t mesh well with his fellow label mates. He explains:
Is Young Money a part of the creative process on this album?
Nah. I tend to distance myself from them.
Are you trying to break out on your own?
Yeah, I’m tryna’ go independent. I don’t really get along with Drake. I don’t really get along with Nicki.
I don’t like Drake as a person. He’s just fake to me. I like his music; you know what I’m saying? I think his music is good, but we’re all different people. We were forced together and it was kinda’ like we were forcing relationships together. It is what it is. But I been friends with Chris [Brown] for like six years. That’s my real genuine friend. We hang out all the time. He lives up the street from me, so we don’t just do music we hang. I think being signed to Young Money, everybody felt like they had to force a relationship ‘cause Wayne put us together. At the end of the day the reason why I signed to Young Money is because of Wayne. Not because of Drake, not because of Nicki. It was because of Wayne and my relationship with him. I try to be cool with everybody, but sometimes, everybody just has different personalities, motives, and different characters. When you realize that, you realize that’s not a place where you want to continue to grow.
I don’t consider that shade, I think he’s just being brutally honest. Tyga is frustrated artistcally and who wouldn’t be in his position?
The good thing is, Kanye West has taken the hungry rapper under his wing and produced some tracks off of his latest album, The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty. Tyga is already getting some buzz about his new project since leaking one of the Kanye West produced tracks and has threatened to release the entire LP if his label doesn’t set a release date.
It will be interesting to see this drama unfold; I just want to hear some good music.
As if he couldn’t reinvent himself in yet another way, the man, the legend, the creative genius, finds ANOTHER way to set him aside from almost every artist to date. The infamous Jay-Z does the unthinkable and takes the game to a whole new level. As a unique way to release his upcoming album, Magna Carta Holy Grail, Jay-Z has partnered up with Samsung to give 1 million free copies to Galaxy III, Galaxy 4 and Galaxy Note II users. They will have access to a special app 72 hours before it goes on sale. His album hasn’t even been released and it’s already PLATINUM. Check out his promo video and tell me it’s not hot!
