Congratulations are in order for Dwyane Wade, 32, and Gabrielle Union, 41, as they tied the knot in Miami this week. Wade gained a wife and Union gained a husband and three sons (pictured above); they look perfect!
What’s In a Selfie?
We all take “selfies” for different reasons. Sometimes we want to show off an outfit, a piece of jewelry, our make-up or maybe we want to just update the world on what we are doing. Whatever the reason, a picture can be worth a thousand words. But, which words are we choosing exactly? Are we feeling sexy? Mad? Tired? More importantly, why have people latched on to the Instagram/social media craze? I have to admit, I also love to take selfies…quite often. I’m confident, beautiful and love to share my thoughts/expressions with all of you!
Everyday people like you and I aren’t the only ones indulging in this guilty pleasure…celebs do it too and I must admit, I love seeing them be “normal” people.

In other news, singer and Diddy’s girlfriend, Cassie, is extending her reach into the entertainment world with her brand new fashion partnership with clothing brand, Young & Reckless. Cassie will be creating her own line, “EN-WHY2EL-AYE” which is a funky derivative of NY to LA. Some of her pieces incorporate artwork made personally by Cassie herself, which is pretty cool and original. It’s no secret, she is a beautiful girl, so modeling her own pieces is a no-brainer! Work it girl!
DAY 26 IS BACK!
Remember the Bad Boy group, Day 26? They made some pretty popular hits, such as Exclusive, and since their abrupt disappearance from the scene, fans have been wanting a return. Recently, all-female Bad Boy group, Danity Kane, reunited (minus D. Woods, whose publicist refused to make a statement on the subject) and they are making their way back on the scene. Who Would Cyber Bully Over Chris Brown?!
So, you KNOW that I don’t do the ultra gossipy thing on my site (as in I don’t care if the baby is Beyonce’s or not!) so whatever pop culture buzz is going around I like to dig deeper and focus on the REAL issue. Some of it is entertaining, but dang do we really care what a celebrity wears to Starbucks? I don’t (even though I click on the link JUST to see if one of them is wearing a hairstyle or lipstick color that I like hee hee). With allll of that said, I want to chit chat about the latest DRAMA/LOVE TRIANGLE between Chris Brown, Rihanna and Karreuche. Clearly, it’s none of anyone’s biz-nass who he is boning or “canoodling” with behind the bleachers, BUT I think it’s going too far when ladies are cussing each other out over this fool via Instagram. In a time when bullying is REAL and youngsters are killing themselves, it just creates attention around immaturity. Some argue that celebrities shouldn’t be considered role models and others believe that their platform is powerful and can influence a lot of people. I’m on the fence! However, when I see this type of behavior, it’s hard for me not to cringe and wish that they would be smarter because people are WATCHING.
