It’s truly sad when young, positive people live short lives. DC’s, Algernon “AJ” Cooper passed away suddenly on December 3rd and was laid to rest yesterday. AJ was the former co-host of BET’s Teen Summit and often held youth issues in the forefront of his goals.
He recently put his bid in for Ward 4 DC Council and had much of the support from locals. Cooper passed away from an apparent heart attack last week, after complaining of chest pains. He was only 34.
